Vintage Movie Posters on Metal

Silent-era one-sheets, pre-code melodrama, Swedish and Spanish release bills, fifties science fiction and the horror titles that made their money on a promise. Chaney's Hunchback and London After Midnight, Metropolis in three different treatments, Forbidden Planet, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Devil Girl from Mars, Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman. Several are the foreign-market versions, which are usually the better designs — Swedish distributors in particular treated a poster as a piece of graphic art rather than a cast list. Printed on steel they land somewhere between film memorabilia and mid-century graphics, which makes them unusually easy to hang. A reliable gift for anyone whose favourite films are older than they are. A classic movie poster on steel behaves differently to paper — no frame, no glare, no fading — which is what lets a vintage film print hang as cinema wall art in a room that is not a study.
