Australian Native Plants Metal Posters

Banksia, waratah, acacia, bottlebrush, grevillea and gum blossom, painted in full botanical detail against deep colour. These are the plants that make Australian bush look like nowhere else — knobbled cones, wire-brush flowers, silver-blue leaves — and they have been badly served by wall art, which tends to default to European florals. The studies here treat them the way an old botanical plate would, with the structure of the plant taken seriously. For an Australian home this is the collection that will feel local without resorting to a kangaroo. Works particularly well as a set: two or three species side by side, in the same size, reads like a proper botanical series. As native flora wall art it beats the imported eucalyptus-on-linen look by a distance: banksia and wattle art drawn properly, which is what an australian botanical print should be.
