Vibrant Blooms Metal Posters

Floral work in the old-master manner: tulips crowded into glass, roses and peonies heaped in silver and cloisonné, petals fallen on the sill, all lit from one side against a dark ground. There is looser work here too — sunflowers in wet ink, blossom on a bare branch, pastel botanicals on cream — but the collection's centre of gravity is the Dutch still life, which is the most reliable wall decision ever invented. Deep backgrounds are where metal earns its money: the shadows go genuinely dark and the flowers lift out of them. Suits a dining room, a bedroom, or a hallway that needs warming up. An easy gift for someone with settled taste. Floral wall art is the safest thing you can hang, and a bright flower print does more for a dull corner than almost any other botanical decor.
